Edward Melvin Moore, the son of Homer Jackson and Janie Liola (Cook) Moore, was born on March 23, 1922 in Rock Port, Missouri. He attended country school in Angel Hollow, southwest of Fairfax.
On October 21, 1939, Edward was united in marriage to Blanche Louzie McCall in Rock Port. Edward worked as a farmhand for numerous farming operations in the area, was employed by the Tarkio Rendering Plant, and worked 25 years for the Tarkio Pelleting Corporation.
Edward enjoyed hunting and visiting with his many friends, and spending time with his family. He passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Community Hospital in Fairfax, Missouri at the age of 85 years.
Besides his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his wife Blanche, who passed away May 10, 1991; one daughter Elvira J. Kirkpatrick; one infant son; one brother James Moore; and two sisters, Grace Hughes and Helen Moore.
Edward is survived by his four sons, Melvin T. Moore and his wife JoAnn, Tarkio, Missouri, Garland Gene Moore and his wife Dorothy, Forney, Texas, Lonnie J. Moore, Burlington Junction, Missouri and Edward D. Moore and his wife Caroline, Afton, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Chuck Moore, South Missouri and Dean Moore, Fairfax; half-brother Jackie Moore and his numerous friends in the area.
