Helen Lucille Daugherty

Helen Lucille (Hagerty) Daugherty, the daughter of James and Theresa (Reitz) Hagerty, was born December 16, 1904 in Westboro, Missouri.
She passed away June 29, 2008 at Mercy Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 103 years.

Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching game shows on the television, playing BINGO, doing crossword puzzles, having coffee with friends, and riding the OATS bus. She was a member of the Golden Key Club and the St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.

Besides her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Daugherty; son Keith Daugherty; and three sisters. Survivors include her son Raymond Daugherty and his wife Janis; daughter Judith Vogt and her husband William, all of Council Bluffs, Iowa; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 2:30 pm Thursday, July 3, 2008 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, Burlington Junction, Missouri.
Interment immediately following at Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be directed to St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.
