Yvonne Ruth Woodward

Yvonne Ruth Woodward, the daughter of Alvie Landers and Ruth Ellsworth, was born December 22, 1922 in Holt County, Missouri. She attended school through the 8th grade.

In 1970, Ruth was injured in an automobile accident in Denver, Colorado. This required her return to Missouri, where she was cared for by her sister, Martina. During this time, Ruth was employed by Northwest Missouri Industries in Rock Port, Missouri. In 1976, Ruth became a resident of Northview Manor Nursing Care Facility in Tarkio, Missouri, where she lived to the present time.

After Martina passed away, Ruth’s only family were the caregivers at Northview Manor. She was known for her big heart and sweet personality. Ruth passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the newly named Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care Center at the age of 87 years.

Besides her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her sister, Martina Kephart.
She is survived by her many close friends at the nursing home.

Services: 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Interment: Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port.
