Robert Joe Lingerfelt, the son of Thomas Cecil and Esther Lucile (Chastain) Lingerfelt, was born on November 10, 1935 in Springfield, Missouri. On January 4, 1955, Bob joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He received his honorable discharge on November 3, 1958.
In 1959, Bob was united in marriage to Priscilla Bowers in Sidney, Iowa and they became the parents of two daughters. He owned and operated his own logging business, buying standing lumber. Bob loved collecting and dealing in coins. He passed away at his home in Fairfax, Missouri on Monday, June 7, 2010 at the age of 74 years.
Bob is preceded in death by his father and sister, Geraldine (Geri) Waltz. Survivors include his daughters, Veronica Bunt and her husband, Bill and Bridget Lingerfelt, all of Mound City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Derek, Casey, Kylee, and Caden; three great grandchildren, Morgan, Colton and Jacob; mother, Esther Lingerfelt, Rock Port, and one sister, Shirley Rowley, Altoona, Iowa.
