Jerry Sutter
Jerry “Wolfie” Sutter, the son of Ronald and Phyllis Sutter, was born on February 9, 1958 in Fairfax, Missouri. He attended Rock Port High School and graduated in 1977.
Jerry was united in marriage to Joyce Smith on December 5, 1980 at the First Lutheran Church in Rock Port. They made their home in the Rock Port area. They later divorced. Jerry passed away on September 10, 2011, at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St Joseph, Missouri, at the age of 53.
Jerry was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Rock Port. For many years, Jerry farmed and had been a self-employed truck driver hauling grain and other agricultural products for area farmers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trips to the river, and spending time with Cayden.
Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evan and Matie Sutter, Tommie Smith and Helen and Louis Winkler. Survivors include his daughters, Holly Sutter, Rock Port, Missouri, and Heather Fasching and fiance, Jeff Olson, Kansas City, Missouri; son, Jason Sutter and wife, Tina, Platte City, Missouri; parents, Ronald and Phyllis Sutter, Rock Port; grandchildren, Cayden Criger, Rock Port and Reid and Jack Sutter, Platte City, Missouri; sister, Debbie True, Rock Port; brother, Kevin Sutter and wife, Shelli, Westboro, Missouri; nephews Josh and TJ True, and Ryan Sutter; niece Alyssa Sutter; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and life-long friends, Rick and Kim DeBuhr, Rock Port.
