Lester Ernest (Ernie) Ellison, the son of George and Elsie (Turner) Ellison was born March 16, 1935 in Watson, Missouri. He attended the Watson schools graduating from Watson High School in 1952. Following graduation, Ernie was employed building government grain bin sites. He also was employed by Frank Heyen at The Toggery Clothing Store in Rock Port.

On February 3, 1958, Ernie entered the United States Army and proudly served his country for two years. Following his honorable discharge, they returned to Watson where he farmed with his father and began establishing his own farming operation. Currently, Ernie co-managed this family business with his son, Jody.
Ernie was a lifetime member of the Watson United Methodist Church and a former member of the Watson Rural Fire Department. In his younger years, Ernie loved to play basketball and softball at Watson and he enjoyed a good game of cards. Ernie’s quick sense of humor and helping hand was well known to everyone. He had one hobby and that was to watch his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. Family and farming were his pride and joy.
