Mrs. Patricia “Patty” Pearl Young, 69, Mound City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in Kansas City, Missouri.

In 1961, Patty graduated from Muskogee Central High School, Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 1970, she graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.

She married Roscoe V. Young in 1963. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1994.

Patty enjoyed her hobbies that included, quilting, baking cookies and pies for family and friends, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Patty was also preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Ina Mae (Maples) Darnell Spruill & William Spruill; father, Ralph Eugene Darnell; and brother, Ralph Eugene Darnell, Jr.

Survivors include three sons, Dayne & Tonya Young of Savannah, Missouri, Bryce & Carol Young of Hays, Kansas, and Joel & Marcia Young of Mound City; eight grandchildren, Trent, Tage, Chase, Drew, Cooper, Camry, Noah, and William; two sisters, Juanita Ralston of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Jennifer Fite of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and brother, Bobby Darnell of Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Memorial Services: 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2013, Christian Fellowship Church, Mound City, Missouri.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
There is no visitation.
