Charles H. Tunnell
Charles H. Tunnell, the son of Charles H. and Mildred (Snell) Tunnell was born February 16, 1943, in Shenandoah, Iowa. He attended Irish Grove country school.
On July 28, 1966, Charles was united in marriage to Joyce Harris in Atchison County, Missouri. They became the parents of one son, Michael.
Charles was formerly employed by Eaton Corporation, Shenandoah, and Leggett and Platt, Carthage, Missouri, before retiring. Charles had recently moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, to live closer to his family. Charles passed away April 13, 2013, at Saxton Health Care Inn, St. Joseph, at the age of 70.
Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Keith and Eddie Tunnell and four sisters, Karen Welch, Norma Eyman, JoAnn Merriett and Rosalee Almanza. Survivors include son, Mike Tunnell, Tarkio, Missouri; five grandchildren, Deaven and Hunter Tunnell, Tarkio,and McKindsey, Kaiden and Chloe Tunnell, Neosho, Missouri; Joyce Tunnell, Rock Port, Missouri; brother, Bud Tunnell, Moline, Illinois, sister, Betty Coons, Moline; and numerous nieces and nephews.
