Norma Knapp
Norma Knapp, the daughter of Edward Fritzhenry and Gertrude Tina (Rebel) Gerdes, was born July 18, 1930, in Craig, Missouri. She attended Craig High School, graduating in 1948.
On March 17, 1951, Norma was united in marriage to Joseph Frederick Knapp, in Bentonville, Arkansas. They became the parents of Linda, Jim, John, Jess, Randy, Cyndi, Julie and Jodie and made their home in the Craig, Missouri and Omaha, Nebraska areas. In 2010, Norma moved to Falls City, Nebraska, due to health issues.
Norma loved to cook and was employed as a cook at Trails End, Rock Port, Missouri, and in restaurants in the Craig and Omaha areas. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, solving jigsaw puzzles and playing bingo. Fred passed away January 1, 1978. Norma passed away Monday, November 25, 2013, at Careage Estates, Falls City, at the age of 83.
Besides her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by grandson, Jason Knapp; daughter-in-law, Becki Knapp; and son-in-law, James Fentiman. Survivors include eight children, Linda David and husband, Tom, Asher, Oklahoma, Jim Knapp, Rapid City, South Dakota, Johnny Knapp, Kansas City, Missouri, Jess Knapp, Randy Knapp and wife, Tammy, all of Craig, Cyndi Knapp, Commerce City, Colorado, Julie Fentiman, Rock Port, and Jodie Olberding and husband, Tom, Falls City; grandchildren, Joseph Yates, Jim and Jill Knapp, Stephanie Cantu, Jed Knapp, Makala Bradbury, Jake Knapp, Logan Hinkle, Michael Dunn, Joseph Dunn and Jocelyn Olberding; numerous great-grandchildren; and step granddaughters, Brandi and Tori Olberding.
