Roy L. Driskell
Roy Lee Driskell, the son of Willie Ace and Dorothy Emaline (Thompson) Driskell, was born October 21, 1954, in West Plains, Missouri. He attended Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri.
On July 1, 2000, Roy was united in marriage to Catherine (Peregrine) Harbison at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tarkio. They made their home in Tarkio, Maryville and Savannah, Missouri, where Cathy currently lives.
Roy was employed by the City of Tarkio in maintenance for 27 years. He was a member of the Allen-Schiffern American Legion Post #199, Tarkio. Roy passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri, at the age of 59.
Besides his parents, Roy was preceded in death by brother, Bill Driskell and niece, Sonya Driskell. Survivors include wife, Cathy, Savannah; children, Sara Driskell, Tarkio, and Patrick Harbison, Maryville; grandchildren, Tamika and Garrison Driskell; siblings, Ruth Graham, Dasie Richt and husband, Michael, all of Northboro, Iowa, Dean Driskell and wife, Marcia, Farragut, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
