Warren J. Knight
Warren J. Knight, the son of John Henry and Gertrude Dorothy (Hineman) Knight, was born January 7, 1942, in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Oak Bluff country school and Glenwood High School, Glenwood, Iowa, graduating in 1960. In August 1959, Warren entered the United States Navy and proudly served his country on numerous naval ships for 22 years. He retired in January 1981 as a Chief Petty Officer.
In 1965, Warren was united in marriage to Fumie Gibo in Naha, Okinawa. They became the parents of one daughter, Janet. They later divorced.
Warren always spoke highly and wanted to thank all of his caregivers at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care for his excellent care. Warren passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 72.
Besides his parents, Warren was preceded in death by sister, Linda Price; sister-in-law, Connie Knight; and his beloved dogs, Rascal and Pooter. Survivors include daughter, Janet Knight, Tarkio; sister, June Olsufka and husband, Edward, Tarkio; brothers, Ernest Knight and wife, Marcella, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Albert Knight and wife, Kathy, Omaha; two nieces, Teresa Farber and husband, Rick, Tarkio, and Barbara Schultee and husband, Darrell, Omaha; and nephew, John Olsufka and wife, Laura, Council Bluffs.
