Catherine M. Hawk
Catherine M. Hawk, the daughter of Claude Carol and Ester Marie (Poppa) Cook, was born May 26, 1945, in Clarinda, Iowa. She attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri, graduating in 1963.
In 1968, Cathy was united in marriage to Harold Hawk. They became the parents of two sons, Kevin and David. They were later divorced.
Cathy was employed as a certified nurse’s assistant at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Rock Port and Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care in Tarkio, Missouri. She also worked in home health care.
Cathy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Westboro, Missouri. Cathy passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017, at her home in Rock Port at the age of 71.
Besides her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by sons, David Hawk and Kevin Hawk; brother, Bill Cook; two nephews, Bill Todd Cook and Dennis Jerry Haney; and brother-in-law, Ray Pint. Survivors include sisters, Marge Pint, Denver, Colorado, and Shirley Richards, Rock Port; brother, Robert Cook, Coin, Iowa; numerous nephews and nieces; her four-legged companions, Jake, Oreo, Danny; and, Gus.
