H. Faye Morrison
Hallie Faye Morrison, the daughter of Frank and Teresa (Smith) Chastain, was born on August 14, 1917, in Rock Port, and was a Rock Port resident her entire life. She attended country schools.
On July 7, 1938, Faye was united in marriage to Earl Lawrence “Duke” Morrison. Faye was a homemaker, and a member of the First Christian Church in Rock Port. Her family was her pride and joy. Duke passed away on March 23, 1997. Faye passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 93 years.
Survivors include Faye’s granddaughter, Victoria Molthan, Tarkio, Missouri; grandsons, Lee Roy Lingerfelt, Jr., Craig, Missouri, Quint Lingerfelt, Rock Port; their mother, Hazel Lingerfelt Kemerling, Tarkio; seven great grandchildren, Shane, Casey, Dustin, Drew, Payton, Morgan, Quinn; eight great-great grandchildren; sisters, Esther Lingerfelt and Gladys Harmon, Rock Port, and Phyllis Rhoades, Fairfax, Missouri.
Besides her parents and husband, Faye was preceded in death by her son, Lee Roy Lingerfelt, Sr.; granddaughter, Kelly Rae Lingerfelt; brothers, Gene Chastain, Alan Chastain, Carroll Chastain, James Chastain; two infant brothers and one infant sister.
