Charles Nathan King

Charles Nathan King, the son of Roy and Viva (Steele) King, was born October 8, 1931, on a farm southeast of Rock Port, Missouri. He attended Mt. Pleasant Country School.

On April 15, 1960, Charlie was united in marriage to Floy Phillips. To this union a son, Todd Nathan, was born October 28, 1967. They were later divorced.

Charlie farmed his family farm, southeast of Rock Port until 1976. He was employed by Northwest Missouri Industries for over 20 years. Charles passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri, at the age of 80.

Besides his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his companion friend of 20 years, Janet Allen. Survivors include son, Todd King and his wife, LeeAnn and three grandchildren, Jacob, Dylan and Ashleigh, all of Rock Port.

Graveside Service and Interment:
1:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2012, Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port.
Open visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, where the family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
