Carrick L. Linthicum
Carrick Logan Linthicum, the son of Charles W. and Malisa (Groff) Linthicum, was born September 26, 1995, in Fairfax, Missouri. Carrick attended Rock Port High School, graduating in 2014. He attended Northwest Missouri State University for one year and was currently taking computer coding classes online.
While in high school, Carrick enjoyed participating in band, football, basketball and choir. Carrick was also a former member of the Scholar Bowl, Grace Church youth group and the Jesus Freaks youth group in Rock Port.
Carrick was a very talented musician who wrote his own music and loved playing the guitar as well as many other instruments. Carrick passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at his home in Rock Port at the age of 20.
Carrick was preceded in death by grandparents, Janice Groff and Carrol Linthicum; step-grandmother, Frances Shipley Groff; great-grandparents, Logan and Faye Maness, O.F. and Lena Groff, Clarence and Ella Jones and Carrick and Betty Linthicum; aunt, Vicki Klahn; and cousin, Eric Kerr. Survivors include parents, Chuck and Malisa Linthicum, Rock Port; brothers, Colby and Caden Linthicum, Rock Port; grandfathers, Larry Groff, Maryville, Missouri, and Bill Linthicum, Tarkio, Missouri; aunts, Linda Michaelis, Tarkio, Julia Cohen, Overland Park, Kansas, and Becky Groff, Country Club, Missouri; uncle, Rick Linthicum, Irvine, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
