Bill Fox was one the most influential persons in my life. As a teacher and coach, he cared. His teachings and mentoring made me a much better person. He showed me how to reach inside and draw the self confidence he knew everyone had, if they just believe. Coach Fox encouraged me to try wrestling. THrough that program, he taught me to work harder, believe I had the ability and to achieve. I recall before one wrestling match against a very tough foe, I, as a heavyweight, had the last match. He would always whisper in his wrestlers' ear some encouraging words before each match. THis night he said to me, "the will to win, will win". I don't know if it was an original phrase or one he had heard before, but it was powerful to me. I loved this man! In my 65 years on this earth, I would consider him to be one of the top 5 most influential people in my life. Bless the family and be thankful for what Bill Fox brought to so many students and young people. He was great! The world will miss him. My father had Altzheimer's disease so I understand the terrific strain on the family. Bless you all and be strong. My prayers are with you. Farliegh Joe Farley

Mr. Fox is one of the main reasons I am a teacher today. He was the best counselor! He had a nickname for everyone and knew everyone of us very well. I remember him going to pick up kids that did not come to school and going out of his way each day to make us feel important. He helped me to get a very large scholarship for college and knew how important it would be for my future. He was truly legendary! I hope to make half the impact he did. Rest in Peace Mr. Fox, we all miss you but know you are in a far better place than us.

I am sending my love to Bonnie and the family during this sad time. Bill was such a remarkable man. He was the best coach I have ever known and a true builder of self concept and skill. His faith was such an inspiration! Personally, he was a dear friend. This old world lost one of the great ones. It is my sincere hope that Doug was there to meet him and the two of them are spending eternity with our Heavenly Father free from illness and pain. Sincerely, Bonnie

Bill was quite simply the most transformative person I have ever known. He turned a skinny slacker into an athlete, but more importantly he taught me values like discipline and courage and to dig deeper for strength than I would have thought possible. Anything I’ve achieved in my life is in large part based on the values and lessons that Bill taught me. Farewell old friend, and thank you.

Coach Fox was our leader. He led us all the way to a state championship @ Santa Fe for the class of 2001 and that was a life achievement for all of us that participated! He nick-named me “Alexander Graham Bell” He gave his all to all of us! I remember him coming into 5am weight training with Opera music blaring! He will be missed by all who knew him! Rest Easy Old GOAT!

Thoughts and prayers to the Family. Bill was a good man, we spent many days in gyms around the state with wrestlers. I will never forget him telling 5 year old wrestlers to get perpendicular to their opponent and the look on their face. Rest easy Coach Fox

My condolences to the Fox Family! Bill Fox is the single most reason I have taught and coached for 27 years. In sports, they say all the great ones are the best players, because they make everyone else around them better! This was Bill Fox! He made everyone he came in contact with better. He definitely left this place better than he found it! His caring and concern for others was infectious and will carry on through those he inspired for many generations. I cry a little each time I think about him being gone, but I know he is in a better place. Thank you for all you gave to the Santa Fe Community.

Don’t think words can ever share just how much of an impact Coach had on everyone’s lives that he was to anyone he was around. Without a shadow of a doubt he had a positive impact on mine that I am forever grateful for. He will definitely be missed and remembered.

Bill was a coach at Santa Fe High School and Counselor for years. We grew to know he and Bonnie and became best of friends. My daughters were who they turned to to house sit for them when they were out of town. They have stayed with us when passing through and we always would go out for lunch. Bill would always beat us to the punch when it came time to pay. He was a great friend, coach and person in general. Always doing things for others. He will be missed by many.

Bill was always a great friend to our family. He was a wonderful teacher of business and I always remember him telling us how to not watch the clock or you'll become one of the hands. He was a great and inspiring coach for wrestling. I loved going to their house for the wrestling dinner that Bonnie cooked. He will be sorely missed and we have lost a great guy.
