Alice C. (Driskell) Jones, the daughter of William D. and Missouri Belle (Hall) Orwick, was born August 17, 1918 in Trail, Missouri. She attended the Silver Shade Country School near Trail, in her youth.

In August 1934, she married Elbert Scott Driskell at Dora, Missouri. They made their home near Trail, Missouri and farmed until 1947. They moved to the Tarkio, Missouri area and farmed east of Tarkio. In 1952, they moved into Tarkio and Alice was employed with Tarkio College from 1955 to 1975. Scott passed away August 10, 1980. In 1981, she married Charles E. Jones, and lived in Tarkio. Charles passed away April 7, 1985. Alice continued to live in Tarkio until 2003, when she moved to Maryville, Missouri. Alice passed away November 18, 2007 at Beverly Healthcare in Maryville at the age of 89 years.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Scott and Charles; one son Marvin Driskell; one grandson and one great grandson. Survivors include one son, W.D. Driskell and his wife Pat, Maryville, one daughter, Eulah Southard and her husband Dewy, Myrtle Creek, Oregon, and daughter-in-law, Peggy Driskell, Hickory, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and special niece Phyllis Schimming
