Anna Mae Klosek, the daughter of Orville and Theresa (Webb) Herrick, was born June 30, 1945, in Truro, Iowa. She attended Oakcrest High School, Mays Landing, New Jersey, graduating in 1964. In 1965, Anna Mae received her Licensed Practical Nurse license.

On December 18, 1965, Anna Mae was united in marriage to Michael Paul Klosek, Sr. and made their home in Mays Landing. They became the parents of four children, Michael Paul, Jr., Michele, Melissa, and Martin.

In 1968, Anna Mae was employed by Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, New Jersey for 25 years as an LPN. After moving to Tarkio, Missouri, in the early 1990’s, she was employed by Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri. She was a nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department, retiring in 2011. Anna Mae also spent numerous years helping her family operate Atchison Recycling in Albany, Missouri.

Anna Mae passed away, Friday, May 1, 2026, at her home in Tarkio, at the age of 80. Besides her parents, Anna Mae was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Morris. Survivors include husband, Michael Paul Klosek, Sr.; children, Michael Paul Klosek, Jr., Michele (John) Papale, Melissa Whedbee, Martin (Michelle) Klosek; 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; siblings, Virgina Simms, Dave (Marie) Paggi, and Raymond Paggi; numerous nieces and nephews.

There is no scheduled visitation or memorial service.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
