Anna Rosenbohm, the daughter of Jacob and Frederreka (Gebhards) Erdman was born November 4, 1926, in Nishnabotna, Missouri. She attended school at Nishnabotna. Anna then contributed to the war effort building bomber planes in the state of Washington.
On December 8th of 1945, Anna was united in marriage to Donald Rosenbohm in Galesburg, Illinois. In 1946, they made their home in Langdon, Missouri and became the parents of four children; Marietta, Peggy, Rita, and William. Donald passed away in 1991.
Anna was a stay-at-home mom and true farmer’s wife. She helped Donald and loved working in the fields. She was proud that her grandson Ron is still farming the ground that has been in her family for over 100 years.
Anna was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Rock Port. She made numerous quilts for everyone in the family, crocheted afghans and many Christmas decorations. Anna enjoyed baking, vacationing in Arizona during the winters, playing bingo, shuffleboard, and dominos. Anna passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, at the age of 97.
Besides her parents and husband, Donald Rosenbohm, Anna was preceded in death by son, William Rosenbohm, son-in-law, Ray Oslin; infant grandson Kestner and great great-granddaughter, Lily; siblings, Ernie, Leo, and Agnes Tysor. Survivors include daughters, Marietta (Lawrence) Wedel, Rock Port, Peggy Oslin, Carson, Iowa, and Rita (Jim) Kestner, Springville, New York; grandchildren, David (Donna) Wedel, Ron (Jennifer) Wedel, Michelle (Richard) Griffen, Daniel (Laura) Oslin, Tamara (William) Verwys, Charity (Bradford) Ballantyne, Lisa (Kenneth) Smith, and Christina (Brett) Hansen; numerous great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Erdman, Divide, Colorado, and brother-in-law, Albert Paul (Janet) Rosenbohm, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, First Lutheran Church, Rock Port.
Open visitation begins 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 28, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.
Interment: Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port
Memorials: Rock Port Senior Center or Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port.
