Arthur William “Art” Oldham, Sr., son of Richard and Blanche Marie (Fahseler) Oldham was born on January 22, 1948 in Hamburg, Iowa. Art attended Rural Tarkio Country School before graduating from Tarkio High School in 1966.

Art was united in marriage to Karen Kay Silence on March 27, 1970. They became the parents of two children, J.R. Oldham and Candi Oldham. They were later divorced. On January 2, 2001, Art was united in marriage to Joyce Sieving at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Clarinda, Iowa. They made their home in Clarinda until the present time.

For a short time, Art was employed in road construction and building water towers and sewer systems. In 1972, Art was employed by Eaton Corporation in Shenandoah, Iowa, until retiring in 2003 after 31 years. Art passed away October 30, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in Maryville, Missouri, at the age of 63.

Besides his parents, Art was preceded in death by brothers, John Oldham and Richard Oldham, Jr. and sisters, Glenna Mae Stoll, Lois Bright and Betty Bright. Survivors include wife, Joyce Oldham, Clarinda, Iowa; son, J.R. Oldham and his wife, Barb, College Springs, Iowa; daughter, Candi Oldham and Kevin Wolfe, Kearney, Nebraska; step-sons, Tony Kite and his wife, Shelly, Crane, Missouri; step-daughter, Dina Larabee and John Clark, Villisca, Iowa; grandchildren, Sky, Amber and Dakota Oldham; step-grandchildren, Andrew and Ashley Greedy, Stormy Kite, Jason, Chelsi and Britni Larabee; step-great granddaughter, Natalie Larabee; sister, Martha Bancroft and her husband, Harold, Essex, Iowa; brother, Robert Oldham, Van Buren, Arkansas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

11:00 am, Wednesday, November 2, 2011, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, Missouri.
Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
