Barbara A. (Anderson) Hunt, daughter of Clyde L. and Mabel L. (McKee) Anderson, was born January 30, 1924, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She attended Clarinda High School, Clarinda, Iowa, graduating in 1942. She then attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1946.
On May 20, 1950, Barbara was united in marriage to Charles Jackson “Jack†Hunt. They became the parents of two children, Lori and Hal, and made their home in the Rock Port, Missouri, area.
Barbara was employed as the Vocational Home Economics teacher at Rock Port High School from 1946-1951. From 1966-1987, she was employed as a social worker, serving as County Director for the Division of Family Services and Atchison County Welfare offices.
Barbara was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and the Kappa Omicron Phi Sorority. Jack passed away in (1973). Barbara passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 89.
Besides her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by brother, James C. Anderson. Survivors include daughter, Lori Weiss and husband, Don, Olathe, Kansas; son, Hal Hunt and wife, Cheryl, Leawood, Kansas; grandchildren, Chris Weiss and his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Eva and Murphy Weiss, Jeff Weiss and his wife, Maida Sussman-Weiss, and their son, Dashiell Weiss, Sarah Randall Hunt and Lauren E. Hunt; brother, Clyde “Bud” Anderson and his wife, Joyce, Des Moines, Iowa; sister-in-law, Marge Anderson, Clarinda; nephews, David Anderson, and his wife, Dokmai “Ann” Indianola, Iowa, Richard Anderson, and wife, Pam, Clarinda, and Kent Anderson, and wife, Karen, Park Ridge, Illinois; and many friends.
Funeral Service:
11:00 A.M., Friday, May 3, 2013, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
Interment: Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port.

or Green Hill Cemetery.
