Barbara Jean (Herron) Hatcher was born September 6, 1955, in Fairfax, Missouri. She passed away on April 4, 2020, in Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 64 after a hard battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Dean and Phyllis Herron, who both preceded her in death.

Barbara is survived by her brothers, Kenny Herron and wife, Paula, of Rock Port, Missouri, and Rick Herron and wife, Cathy, of Rock Port; sister, Cathy (Herron) Kimzey of San Leandro, California; step-brother, Wes Askins and wife, Debbie, of Oakley, California; son, Michael Hatcher and wife, Julie, and grandsons, Tyler Hatcher and Colby Hatcher, of Elk Grove, California; son, Christopher Hatcher of Clinton, Oklahoma; and grandson, Kevin Hatcher of Brentwood, California.

She married Dennis Hatcher (deceased) and moved to California after high school, where she eventually settled in Brentwood, California. She was Operations Manager for Pacific Utilities in Concord, California, for 31 years. She enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her beloved grandsons and family. Her favorite times were at the beach. She was very private and those close to her knew she fought a good fight. Anyone who crossed paths with this amazing woman couldn’t help but love and adore her. She made everyone feel special and loved and would do anything for anybody. There was no one like her on this earth. She will forever be greatly missed and loved.

Barb’s wishes were to be cremated, with her ashes spread in the Pacific Ocean. She did not want services. The family will not be accepting any donations.
