Barbara Yvonne Branson, the daughter of Harrison and Pauline Lauretta (Perry) Sparks, was born April 14, 1942 in Burlington Jct., Missouri. She attended Westboro High School, Westboro, Missouri.

On September 4, 1979 she was united in marriage to Richard Branson. Barbara worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at Northview Manor, Tarkio from 1985 to 1992. Richard passed away August 7, 1995. Barbara passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Community Hospital, Fairfax, Missouri at the age of 64 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Lauretta Obert, Lamar, Missouri, Tammy Peters, Tarkio, Tonda Sparks, Lincoln, Nebraska; three sons, Albert Sparks, Lincoln, Tony Sparks, Grand Jct., Iowa, George Branson, Tarkio; mother, Pauline Bartlett, Greenfield, Missouri; six step-daughters; one step-son; 15 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; five brothers, three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Beside her father and husband Richard, Barbara was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Christopher Obert.
