Betty Rose Rosenbohm Henry (Schoonover) the daughter of George E. and Lena (Erdman) Schoonover was born April 17, 1931, in Langdon, Missouri. Betty attended the Langdon and New Excelsior, Missouri primary schools and graduated from Rock Port High School in 1949.

Betty was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Rock Port, and a former member of the Lutheran’s Women’s Circle.

Betty was united in marriage to Wayne Rosenbohm on September 9, 1949, and made their home in Langdon, farming and operating the Langdon post office and grocery store. It was on the farm and working with others where she demonstrated her commitment to hard work and love for her family and friends. She was a member of the Atchison County Extension Cooperative where she supported education and training for farm women in the area. She spent many evenings and weekends camping, bowling, and playing cards with a vibrant community of friends. Wayne passed away in 1990.

Betty’s passion to help others blossomed into a fulfilling career where she made a difference in countless lives as a CNA at Pleasant View Nursing Home and later at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri until she retired.

In 1993, Betty was united in marriage to Bill Henry.  They spent many warm and leisurely years enjoying the sun in Arizona, until moving to Rock Port to be close to family. Bill passed away in 2014. Betty passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, at the age of 93.

Betty cherished being close to her family. She was a true matriarch, always looking out for her siblings and taking pride in her daughter, granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren. She treasured being able to watch all their accomplishments.

Besides her parents and husbands, Wayne Rosenbohm and Bill Henry, Betty was preceded in death by brother, George Schoonover, Jr.; son-in-law, Tom Lininger. Survivors include daughter, Judy Sutter (David Portis), Fairfax, Missouri; granddaughters, Rae Ann (Jeff) Kingsley, Kansas City, Missouri, and Julie (Kevin) Moody, Omaha, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Jacob Wilczek, Emma Kingsley and Joseph Kingsley and Brayden Moody, Rylan Moody, Treyton Moody and Jaelynn Moody;  brothers, Robert Schoonover and Dean (Skeet) Schoonover, Rock Port, and sisters, Shirley Mather, Maryville and Janice Murry, Rock Port, one brother-in-law Albert Paul (Janet) Rosenbohm of Lincoln, Nebraska, and countless loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
