Beverly J. Sands
September 15, 1945 - August 17, 2021
Beverly (Bev) Jane Sands, 75, of Tarkio, Missouri, passed away on August 17, 2021 during a procedure to repair her heart valve at Bryan Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Bev was born on September 15, 1945 to Floyd and Jewel VanDusen in Carroll, Iowa. She graduated from Ar-We-Va (Vail High School) in 1964.
In 1964, Bev met John Jens Sands, and they were united in marriage on October 2, 1965 in Jackson, Minnesota. They became the parents of 3 children, Kevin, Tammie, and Lorie.
In the early 1970s, the family moved from Iowa to Rock Port, Missouri where John took a position with Missouri Beef Packers. They eventually went on to own numerous business ventures in Tarkio. After Kevin was born, Bev decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. She was always supporting of John’s many businesses and passionate about her children even during the difficult times of their lives. She made it her mission to try and bring a smile to every interaction and improve the lives of others.
Bev was a passionate conversationalist, welcoming everyone into her home for a meal. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found having tea with friends at the local café. We will miss her greatly.
Besides her parents, Bev was preceded in death by granddaughter, Andrea Sands and son-in-law, Michael McMahon. Survivors include husband, John Sands, Tarkio; children, Kevin (Kelli) Sands and their children, Tiffany, Christopher, Ashton, Kendra, and Solomon, Tammie (Mark Barker) McMahon and their children, Catherine, Michael, Noel, McKenna, Alex, Adam, and Dakota, and Lorie (Jason) Goldberg and their daughter, Lucchese; sister, Cindy (Jerry) Diddle, Florida; cousins, Chuckie North, Diane Anderson, and David Abbott.

Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 24, 2021, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Open visitation begins 9:00 A.M., Monday, August 23, Davis Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M.
Private family inurnment at a later date.
In keeping with Bev’s love for animals the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in her name be made to Paw Prints and can be delivered to Farmers State Bank in Tarkio. Any notes may be sent to Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
