Bonnie Louise Howell
September 4, 1931 - February 18, 2011
Bonnie Louise Howell, the daughter of Lee Sutter and Lois Lovell (Bartholomew) Deatz, was born September 4, 1931, in Fairfax, Missouri. Bonnie graduated from Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri in 1949.
On October 31, 1948, Bonnie was united in marriage to Delmas Wayne Howell at the Rock Port Baptist Church. They made their home in Rock Port, and became the parents of two sons; David and Gary. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in October of 2010.
Bonnie was employed by the Citizen’s Bank of Rock Port for 27 years, where she began as a teller and ultimately became Assistant Vice President. She was also an extremely dedicated member of the Rock Port Baptist Church where she held many offices throughout the years. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved following them to their various events. Within the past year, Bonnie and Delmas moved to Maryville, Missouri to live closer to their family. Bonnie passed away Friday, February 18, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, at the age of 79 years.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Bill Carey; and sister-in-law, Geneva Deatz. Survivors include her husband, Delmas, Maryville; sons, David Howell and his wife, Kathy, and Gary Howell, and his wife, Vivian, all of Maryville; grandchildren, Meagan Dwyer and her husband, Seann, St. Peters, Missouri, Molly Schwery and her husband, Adam, Platte City, Missouri, Abby Howell and her fiancé, Jim Dropinski, Maryville, Adam Howell and his wife, Candice, Lincoln, Nebraska, Emily Howell and Libbey Howell, both of Maryville; brother, Paul Deatz and his wife, Lois, Mound City, Missouri; sisters, Beth Carey, Omaha, Nebraska, and Jane Amthor and her husband, Joe, Atchison, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service:
2:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2011, Rock Port Baptist Church.
Interment: English Grove Cemetery, Fairfax, Missouri.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
Memorials: Rock Port Baptist Church.
Services: Minter Funeral Chapel.
