Bradley Scott Atchison, the son of Paul William and Rosemary Elaine (Bell) Atchison, was born March 17, 1970 in St. Charles, Missouri. Brad attended Blue Springs High School, Blue Springs, Missouri, graduating in 1988.

 

Brad entered the United States Navy in 1988 and served his country for nine years on a ship traveling around the world. Brad reached the top of his craft as a Boiler Safety Inspector in nuclear power plants for Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Company. He was currently working at the Cooper Nuclear Station, Brownville, Nebraska.

 

On September 10, 2005, Brad was united in marriage to Claudette Christine (Christie) Medlock, in Blue Springs. They made their home in Lake Tapawingo, Missouri, Blue Springs, and Lyons, Kansas. Brad and his family moved to Rock Port, Missouri in September 2010. He passed away on February 3, 2011 in Rock Port, at the age of 40 years.

 

Brad was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Atchison. Survivors include his wife Christie and 4 children; Amber, Lisa, Kathy, and Joey, all of Rock Port; his parents, Don and Rosemary Buckshot, Kansas City, Kansas.

2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011

Inurnment: A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Brad Atchison Memorial Fund.
