Brandon Steele Runyan, the son of Troy Steele and Deanna Michelle (Hookham) Runyan, was born April 28, 1990, in Red Oak, Iowa. He attended Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri. Brandon then attended the Excelsior Springs Job Corp Center, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, earning his high school diploma and certification in the Home Builders Institute.
On December 30, 2015, Brandon began a relationship with Daisey Kirkpatrick, being companions until the present time.
Brandon was employed in several positions including shipping and receiving at Kawasaki in Maryville, part-time with the United States Postal Service, and was a truck driver for American Recycling in Tarkio, which he loved and eventually hoped to get a CDL to be an over-the-road truck driver.
Brandon enjoyed riding dirt bikes and four wheelers, playing video games, listening to music, watching Netflix and YouTube, and hanging out with friends. Brandon passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Tarkio, at the age of 28.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy Hookham, Sr. and grandmother, Karen Runyan. Survivors include mother, Deanna (Carl) Fogle, Tarkio; father, Troy (Bridget) Runyan, Raytown, Missouri; fiancé, Daisey Kirkpatrick and her children, Millie and Caden, Tarkio; three sisters, Angela Hookham, Kansas City, Missouri, Rachel (Robert Johnson) Runyan, Tarkio, and Jessica Runyan, Independence, Missouri; grandfather, Robert Steele Runyan, Clarinda, Iowa; grandmothers, Regenea Esquivel, Clarinda, and Peggy Hookham, Shenandoah, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends.
Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 13, 2019, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio
Inurnment: Snow Hill Cemetery, Coin, Iowa
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., Saturday, prior to the service.
