I remember when Duane and Evelyn moved in next door to my family in 1968. I was going to Tarkio High School at the time and Duane came over to introduce himself. He was a very colorful character and had a good wit. Duane and Evelyn were excellent neighbors, as well as the rest of the extended Cerven family that live nearby. They are excellent people and extremely hard workers. I will miss Duane and Evelyn as my neighbors. My deepest condolences to the Cerven family for their loss. Clay

Aunt Evelyn, David, Deb and Darin - Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Uncle Duane was such a huge part of our lives growing up and his closeness to dad always played such a great role in our closeness to you. Know that Mom and we are saying prayers and sending you hugs from afar and sorry we can't be with you due to unsteady weather. I always remember Duane and Dad hanging together on lawn chairs just conversing about everything farm related. He was such a comfort to dad for so many years especially when dad was going through his trials!!! Hanging at your farm and playing in the yard and barn were some of my fond memories you and Uncle Duane gave us as kids.
