Carla J. Bolton went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2011 in Harlingen, Texas, due to complications related to her fight against cancer. She was born Carla Janell Purchase to Clarence M. and Alba E. (Deardorff) Purchase on May 3, 1927 in Burlington Junction, Missouri. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1945 and married Keith Bolton January 27, 1946.
Keith and Carla enjoyed farming in the Tarkio and Westboro communities, and in later years wintering in Harlingen.
Carla was a member of the United Methodist Churches of Tarkio and Westboro, the United Methodist Women, and at one time served as a children’s Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Morning Sun Friendship Club and had served many years as one of the leaders in the Morning Sun 4-H Club.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alba Purchase, husband, Keith Bolton, daughter, Carol Ann Bolton, son Robert Lee Bolton, sister Betty Bell (Purchase) Crabtree and brother William Clayton Purchase. She is survived by her sons Donald Keith Bolton of Houston, Texas and his son Steven; sons of Robert Lee Bolton, Robert T. and William L.;Kenneth Ray and wife Galen Bolton of Junction, Texas, and their children Jacob, Brenda, and Sharilyne; Timothy Bruce Bolton of Tarkio, Missouri/Harlingen, Texas; James Richard and wife Norma Bolton of Houston, Texas, and their children Maranda, Michael, DeAnna, and Matthew; sisters-in-law, Addie Purchase of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Helen Bolton Scheiding of Longmont, Colorado; Gloria Bolton of Fairfax, Missouri; Pat Bolton of Fairfax, Missouri; Rosella Bolton of St. Joseph, Missouri; 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

United Methodist Church, Tarkio
Interment: Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Fairfax, Missouri
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, January 21, 2011 at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
