Carole S. Shallenberger, the daughter of Victor Richard and Leola (Brown) Murdock, was born February 14, 1949, in Hamburg, Iowa. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1967.

After high school, Carole married Duane Shallenberger and they became the parents of two sons; Greg and Kevin. In 1982, Carole met Bill Daugherty, and they were lifelong companions.

Carole was formerly employed in various department stores in the Omaha area, and as an Avon representative. She worked as a dog groomer and was a travel agent for Jacobson T Travel, which was later named Triple S Travel. In 1986, she purchased the business which she operated to the present time.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include companion and best friend, Bill Daugherty, Rock Port; two sons, Greg Shallenberger and his wife, Jennifer, and Kevin Shallenberger and his wife, Julie, all of Omaha; five grandchildren, Sara, Addie, Clayton, Macie, and Camden; one brother Richard Murdock, Florida.

Graveside Services and Interment:
10:00 A.M., Monday, September 22, 2014, Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port.
Open visitation begins Sunday after 10:00 AM at Minter Funeral Chapel. There is no scheduled family visitation.
