Charlene was like family (even the same last name in the beginning). One of my mother's best friends and traveling partner. I feel like I have lost a part of my family too. She is one of the reasons I became a teacher (my wife also). Charlene is one of those Rock Port people who influenced many others. Our prayers are with you. Dennis and Gayle Jones

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Steele. Like many she was my Kindergarten teacher. I can still hear her say, "Left to the lockers, right to the door." She was an amazing woman, and a wonderful teacher. My deepest sympathies to her family.

RD & Marissa, We're so sorry for your loss. We didn't get back till yesterday (Monday) morning and just now looked on the Minter web site. I know you will miss her very much but take comfort from your family, friends and God. In the end, that's all we have, but that's also all we need. Love, Kenton and Rita

Your mom/grandmother was such a special person to our family. She and my mom (LaVona Reid) taught side-by-side for many years. They grew up together in Oregon, MO and I have know her my whole life. She was such a kind and loving lady, and our family will truly miss her. Thinking of all of you during this sad time. Jacque Gayle and all of the Gebhards family...
