Mrs. Cleta Louise (Jones) Hargus, of Springfield, Missouri, daughter of Clarence and Ella (Green) Jones of Tarkio, Missouri, passed away on July 31, 2008 at Primrose Place Health Care Center in Springfield at the age of 85 years. Cleta was born July 29, 1923 in Fairfax, Missouri and united in marriage to Henry Hargus on June 1, 1946 in Nashua, Iowa.

Cleta is survived by sisters, Betty (Norval) Harris, Springfield and Rowena (Duane) Broermann, Tarkio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Henry; three sisters, Wilma (Toots) Mingus, Carol Linthicum and Eva McGuire; and three brothers, C.C. (Junior) Jones, Maurice Jones and Dale Jones.

Family visitation: Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at the Davis Funeral Home in Tarkio. Graveside services and interment: Monday, August 4, 2008, 10:00 am at the Tarkio Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
