Corliss Ann Gibbons, the daughter of Henry and Beverly (Jackson) Gibbons was born October 13, 1954, in Fairfax, Missouri. Corliss graduated from Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri in 1973 and earned a one-year business certificate from Northwest Vocational Technical School in Maryville, Missouri.

 

On June 7, 1973, Corliss was united in marriage to Donald Edward Moore, and they became the parents of two daughters, Linda Renee and Stacey Nicole. They later divorced.

 

Corliss worked for eight years as a farm wife and 12 years as a Nurse’s Aide and Medicine Tech at the currently named Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care, Tarkio. Ill health then forced her retirement.

 

Corliss was a member of the Assembly of God Church and First Baptist Church, both of Tarkio. She enjoyed babysitting her great grandchildren, China Painting, and visiting with her numerous friends around Tarkio. Corliss passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care at the age of 68.

 

Corliss was preceded in death by her father Henry Gibbons. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Renee (Matthew) Magee, Wilsonville, Oregon, Stacey Nicole (Jamie) Stillwell, Tarkio; three grandchildren, Marcellus (Katrina) Stillwell, Bridget Stillwell and Martin Stillwell; great-grandchildren, Raylan and Rhynn; mother, Beverly Gibbons, Tarkio; brother, Terry (Twyilla) Gibbons, Westboro, Missouri and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 25, 2023, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, Missouri.

Open visitation begins 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 24, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio. There is no scheduled family visitation.

Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.

Memorials: American Cancer Society.

Arrangements: Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
