Ellen Kiehl, the daughter of Marshall and Adeline (Faulkner) Jackson, was born July 24, 1947, in Craig, Missouri. She attended Craig High School, graduating in 1965. Ellen also attended technical school in Maryville, Missouri, receiving her licensed practical nurse certificate.
In the early 1970’s, Ellen was united in marriage to Albert Schale. They became the parents of one daughter, Marci. They later divorced. In 1984, Ellen was united in marriage to Richard Kiehl. Richard passed away in 2003.
Ellen was employed at the Northview Manor in Tarkio, and Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, for 20 years. For a short time, she lived in Dodge City, Kansas, where she worked as a guard at the Excel plant.
Ellen was a member of the First Christian Church in Rock Port, Missouri. She loved spending time with daughter, Marci, and with her grandchildren. Ellen enjoyed visiting with friends and telling stories, reading and spending time with Baxter, her canine companion. Ellen passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at her home in Rock Port, at the age of 71.
In addition to her parents and husband, Richard, Ellen was preceded in death by sister, Roberta Bean. Survivors include daughter, Marci Wilroy, Rock Port; three grandchildren, Ayden, Lily and Madison Wilroy, Rock Port; siblings, J.M. (Merry) Jackson, Mound City, Missouri, Dean (Ann) Jackson, Durango, Colorado, Doris Bowers, Fort Lee, New Jersey, Bob (Berdie) Jackson, Las Vegas, Nevada, Richard (Pat) Jackson, Craig, Missouri, Kay (Bernie) Lemay, St. Joseph, Missouri, Rodger (Lu) Jackson, Craig, Debbie (Dennis) Rose, Goodman, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends; and Baxter.
Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 17, First Christian Church, Rock Port.
Private family inurnment at a later date, Tharp Cemetery, Craig, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M., Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
