Daniel Victor  VanWagener, the son of Harry and Ruth VanWagener, was born March 12, 1917 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended school in New Jersey. Daniel began working at an early age and was employed by Helms Products of Helmetta, New Jersey.

On July 31, 1944, Daniel was united in marriage to Agnes Marie Burns. He and Agnes made their home in Helmetta until his retirement in 1986, when they then moved to Rock Port. Agnes passed away in 1992. In 2000, Daniel moved to Beulaville, North Carolina to be closer to his daughter, Edna. He passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at his home in Beulaville at the age of 91 years.

Besides his parents and wife Agnes, Daniel is preceded in death by his daughter Joan Meadows, who passed away in 1988; sister, Ruth Connors. Daniel is survived by his daughter, Edna May Fewell and her husband, Frank, Beulaville; eight grandchildren, Tammy, Daniel, Warren, Michael, Michele, Joan Marie, Randy and Tiffany; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service and Interment; 11:00 am, Friday, December 19, 2008, Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port.
Open visitation will begin after 9:00 am, Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm that evening.
