My condolences to the family. Dan was my C.O.E. boss during high school at Rolf Supply. He was part of the reason I chose to study Agriculture at MWSC upon graduation. Everyone liked him and he never seemed to have a bad day. During the Winter he would take my brother and I coyote hunting on weekends before Rolf's opened. We had a fun crew at Rolf's at that time and Dan managed to keep us all laughing most mornings as we gathered to discuss the days agenda over coffee and donuts. However, he wasn't laughing one hot summer morning when I fell asleep at the wheel and drove a loaded supply pickup off into a deep ditch East of Tarkio while following a terra gator. Lucky for me I didn't lose any of the Lasso and a kind farmer with a chain pulled me out quickly and I was on my way! Guess who was the butt of all jokes for weeks following that accident! R.I.P.
