Darrel G. Wheelock, 65, died at his home in Tarkio, Missouri on July 27, 2008. He was formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska and Rock Port, Missouri.

Born in Filley, Nebraska on June 10, 1943, he was a former grocery store owner and meat cutter. He and his wife, Linda, owned and operated the Darlindy’s grocery store in Rock Port for several years.

He is survived by son, Gene Wheelock and wife Patsy, Crete, Nebraska; daughter Michelle Milke and husband Patrick, Adams, Nebraska; step-son Kevin Wehrli and wife Angela, Prague, Oklahoma; sisters, Jeannie Bair and Laurie Cornelius of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews. Darrel is preceded in death by his wife, Linda.

There will be no services. Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, is in charge of arrangements.
