Deborah Kay Grossman Tanner was born on March 9, 1952 in Hamburg, Iowa to Edith Jackson Grossman and Lloyd Grossmman. Debbie attended Rock Port schools and worked as a general laborer most of her lifetime. In 1982, she married Larry Tanner. They were later divorced. Debbie attended Grace Community Church in Rock Port, Missouri.

Debbie is survived by her two children, Lorie Tanner of Clarinda, Iowa and Lance Tanner of the home. Additional survivors are brothers, Charles Reinier of Fairfax, Missouri; Steve Grossman and wife, Valerie of Rock Port; Tony Grossman and wife, Tammy of Fairfax; a sister, Sherry Ashford of Rock Port; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother Edith Record, an infant sister Connie, along with her grandparents, Lloyd and Lela Jackson.

In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, baking, playing bingo and spending time with her children and family.

On March 31, 2010, she passed away at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Tarkio, Missouri after a long battle with cancer. Debbie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
