Delmar L. Wallace, the son of Arthur Lee and Sallie Ann (Morton) Wallace, was born January 13, 1925, in Houston, Missouri. Delmar attended high school in Houston.

 

On February 18, 1945, Delmar was united in marriage to Dora Lee Marrs. For a short time they made their home in Houston and then in the Tarkio, Missouri, area and became the parents of three children, Betty, Cindy and Phil. Dora Lee passed away November 1, 1992. In 1993, Delmar was untied in marriage to Nina Balle. Nina passed away in 2002. On May 18, 2002, Delmar was united in marriage to Ethel Barnett. They made their home in Tarkio to the present time. Delmar passed away Monday, September 6, 2010, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, in Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 85 years.

 

Delmar was a farmer and raised livestock. He was also employed as a mechanic for Chuck Sheppard International. He was a member of the Tarkio Baptist Church.

 

Besides his parents and wives, Delmar was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Kevin Michael Beck, sister, Dorothy McClasky, and brother, Raymond Wallace. Survivors include his wife, Ethel, of their home in Tarkio; two daughters, Betty Millsap and her husband Jack, Cindy Lee and her husband Gerald, all of Tarkio, one son Phil Wallace, Darby, Kansas; one step-daughter, Carolyn Casey and her husband Bill, Grapevine, Texas, one step-son, Larry Bill Taylor and his wife Barbara, Tarkio; five grandchildren, Miranda, Shellee, Chris, Melissa (Missy), Bill; two step-grandchildren, Marcus and Stacie; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Wallace, four brothers, Roy Wallace, Jack Wallace, Tom Wallace, and Don Wallace, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Services:
11:00 am, Thursday, September 9, 2010, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, Missouri.
Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 9, 10:00 a.m.-10:50 a.m., at Davis Funeral Home.
