As a former classmate of David I wish to say I am sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I wish you and your entire family comfort.

Delmas was always interested in how I was doing when growing up in the Baptist Church and at Rock Port Schools. He always gave me positive reinforcement and support in all my activities. I appreciated his concern and interest as well as his compliments. He was a very giving person. I'm very sorry for his passing. He touched many lives.

I had the pleasure of working with Delmas when Garrett and I first moved to Rock Port in 1976. He was a great mentor to me, taught me the ropes of not only the publishing business, but of small town life. He gave me the scoop on local customs, who was related to who (and how) and who I should watch my mouth around. He was a good man and a good friend and I'm glad God put him in my path.

Delmas and Bonnie were very good friends, kindhearted people. After our son died, they were among the very first to help us through that time. We shall always remember their kindness. Our prayers go out for all of their family.

I was a classmate of David's. It is always sad when we lose our loved ones. Delmas was very well thought of in the business community. My heart goes out to the families.
