Dena (Seale) Daugherty, the daughter of Jack Allan and Jeanette (Yandell) Seale, was born December 24, 1958, in San Diego, California. She attended Wichita East High School, Wichita, Kansas, graduating in 1977. Dena then attended Wichita Business College for two years before attending Wichita State University. She received her Physical Therapy Assistant Degree in 1996.

In 1996, Dena was united in marriage to Marvin Daugherty at Cottonwood Friends Church, Emporia, Kansas. In 2002, the couple moved to Miller, Kansas, where they lived to the present time.

Dena was employed as a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer in computer programming. She later was employed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the Emporia area.

Dena was a member of the Cottonwood Friends Church. Dena passed away Friday, September 4, 2026, at her home in Miller, at the age of 67.

Dena was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include husband, Marvin Daugherty, Miller; son, Erik Zimmerman, Australia; sister, Stacey (Tommy) Webb, Springtown, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Graveside Service and Interment: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 12, 2026, Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port, Missouri.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, prior to the service at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
