Marjorie “Marge” (Lawless) Sarringar, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, in Wellington, Florida, at the age of 90. Born September 22, 1934, in Tarkio, Missouri, to Raymond and Beulah Lawless. Marge lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

While working at the University of Nebraska Dental College, Marge met and married the love of her life, Donald Sarringar. Enjoying 60 wonderful years together before his passing on December 8, 2018. Their journey together took them across the country from Lincoln, Nebraska to Memphis, Tennessee, Houston, Texas, and Centerville, Ohio, before finally settling in West Palm Beach, Florida. Wherever they lived, Marge left an indelible mark, actively participating in numerous organizations and enriching the lives of those around her. In Memphis, she served as President of the Memphis Jaycees and the local garden club. In Houston, she was a dedicated Cub Scout Den Mother, PTA President and an active church choir member. In Centerville, she was deeply involved in the South Minister Presbyterian Church (Alpha Chapter), P.E.O., the church choir, PTA, and football and band mothers’ clubs. Marge and Don were renowned for their warm hospitality, hosting countless gatherings and sharing their joy with friends and family as they traveled the United States. In West Palm Beach, they became members of the Lakeside Presbyterian Church.

Marge is survived by her two sons and spouses, Mike (Mary) Sarringar, Yuba City, California, and Jeff (Michelle) Sarringar, Wellington, Florida; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Jennifer, Eric, and Nicole; seven great grandchildren, Coralee, Jordan, Evan, Harper, Olivia, Taylor, and Georgia; sister, Shirley Stoner, Rock Port, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Lawless.

Marge’s vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm touched countless lives. She was known for her love of bright colors and her unwavering commitment to her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all.

Don Sarringar, 83, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2018. He will be deeply missed by his family and the many whose lives he touched.

Born October 3rd, 1935, in Mission Hill, SD, to Thomas Albert and Mary Louise Sarringar, Don’s life was marked by service, faith, and a vibrant spirit. He attended Yankton College before serving his country with distinction in the United States Air Force, stationed at Tachikawa Air Force Base in Japan. His athletic prowess earned him a place on the Air Force All-Star football team, and he was even lauded in the newspaper as the fastest running back in the Far East. Following his military service, he continued his education at the University of Nebraska.

It was there that he met the love of his life, Marge Lawless of Rockport, MO, to whom he was married for 60 years until her recent passing. Their enduring love served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Don and Marge’s legacy lives on through their two sons and their families: Mike and Mary of Yuba City, CA; and Jeff and Michelle of Wellington, FL. He is also survived by four cherished grandchildren, Stephanie, Jennifer, Eric, and Nicole; and seven great-grandchildren, Coralee, Jordan, Evan, Harper, Olivia, Taylor and Georgia. He was the last surviving sibling of four brothers, Julian, Virgil, George, and Eddie; and two sisters, Mary Ann and Margaret Jean.

Don dedicated 42 years of his career to The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Beyond his professional life, he was a devoted Elder at his Presbyterian Church, a member of the church choir, and a tireless volunteer, notably brightening the holidays as Santa Claus, delivering gifts to families in need. His commitment to his community extended to his involvement with the Boy Scouts, Jaycees, PTA President and as a youth football coach.
