Donald Gale "Duck" Stanford, Jr.
July 31, 1961 - January 10, 2023
Donald Gale “Duck” Stanford, Jr., the son of Donald Gale, Sr. and Dorothy (Tuggle) Stanford, was born July 31, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri.
In 1989, Duck was united in marriage to Lori Roberts and they became the parents of one daughter, Ashley. They later divorced.
Duck worked numerous odds jobs before being employed by Maryville High School, Maryville, Missouri as a janitor for five years. Due to ill health, he was forced to retire in 2005.
Duck enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Duck passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at his home in Tarkio, Missouri, at the age of 61.
Besides his parents, Duck was preceded in death by siblings, Benny, Bob, and Gary Stanford. Survivors include daughter, Ashley (B.J.) Grimes, Brunswick, Georgia; grandchildren, Billy, Natalie, Bentley, and Colten Grimes; siblings, Bill and Blake Stanford, Carma (Jim) Eagans, Peggy Eagans, Larry Stanford, Jerry (Diane) Stanford, Marsha Eagans, Terry Stanford, Krista Louderback, and Joe (Linda) Stanford; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Ron Eagans.
There are no scheduled memorial services.
Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
