The world truly lost a golden gem last Monday. She was the kindest, most genuine, positive, caring, and most godly person I have ever met. We could all benefit to be a little more like Donna Leigh! She would always call me after a performance/event to tell me how proud she was and how great she thought everything was. I loved those phone calls! The last phone call I received was after our Christmas concert this past year. ❤️❤️❤️ Her family was one of the first families that truly made us feel welcome when we moved to Rock Port 10 years ago and for that I will always be grateful. The family asked if I would play at her celebration of life on Friday. I am so honored. She loved music and was such a dedicated musician to the Linden Church and she played her trumpet for our Alumni Pep Bands until recently! ❤️ “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace” ( 1 Peter 4:10 ). God wants us to use these gifts to help others and glorify Jesus Christ, not ourselves.

MY COWORKER DESCRIBED HER BEST, "AN ANGEL HERE ON EARTH" WE LOOKED FORWARD TO HER PHONE CALLS AND DEVOTIONAL STUDIES AT 5:30AM EVERY MORNING . SHE NEVER MISSED A DAY IN OVER 15YEARS. SHE TRULY WALKED THE WALK AND TALKED THE TALK. A TRUE BLESSING TO HAVE HAD HER IN MY LIFE. THANK YOU ALL FOR SHARING HER WITH ME. I WILL TRY AND EMULATE HER LIFE GOALS AS I GO FORWARD. IT WAS SO IMPORTANT TO HER TO SHARE THE WORD/WORK OF THE LORD TO EVERYONE SHE CAME IN CONTACT WITH EITHER IN PERSON, ON THE PHONE OR THRU THE MAIL. A TRUE WARRIOR FOR THE LORD. KNOW SHE IS EXCEEDINGLY HAPPY WHERE SHE IS NOW:)

Always ready to help anyone in need and always a Prayer for all. I wish I would have spent more time with her thru the Years . I know She rests in peace with God.

The history of precious neighbors Knierim and Wolf families goes back many generations. As a young woman I always looked up to Ms Donna and her trademark radiant smile. As generations pass and times change, the passing of Ms Donna emphasizes how good these old family ties were. Everyone that knew her was richer for that blessing. Condolences to her family and all the people her life touched.

I met this lady at the wedding of her Niece and my Nephew’s wedding several years ago. She was a beautiful lady and always had a smile and hug. She never forgot us and we would receive Christmas Cards for several years with a written letter or simple a few words of encouragement. I’ll never forget her. She was a special Angel on earth. My love and prayers to the family.

If ever there was a woman of grace and faith conviction, it was Donna. She lived, breathed, spoke and shared the word of God in every aspect of her being. I know that personally there have been a number of instances where she would gently take my hand and say "Lets pray" and we did, right then and there without hesitation on her part. She will be missed seems like such a senseless statement, that is our physical selfishness, because Heaven just called a true angel who led by example while on this earth, home to be with her Lord. She looked forward and anticipated the beauty of Heaven and eternal life. I can truly miss her lovely smile and seeing her in a store or on the street, all the while knowing she is singing and dancing with all that have gone before her that she so longed to be reunited with. So it is with no regrets that I do not shed tears, but smile and know that she is forever free of any pain and happier than ever. Peace be with all of her family.

Thinking of you all at this difficult time, Donna was a wonderful woman, I remember going to church with you all as a kid, and making cookies with her, the big beautiful smile she always had, the warm hugs she would give when u didn't know u needed it, but she could tell. I will always remember and cherish the memories I have of Donna. May God wrap his arms around you all and hug you tight. Thoughts and prayers are with you all!
