Donna Maurie Smith, daughter of Albert (Bud) Eugene and Nellie Mae (McKenzie) Jones was born on October 5, 1949, in Fortescue, Missouri. Donna attended school in Mound City, Missouri.

Donna was united in marriage to Leland Wilson Smith, Jr. on September 23, 1966, in Fortescue, Missouri and they made their home in the Tarkio, Missouri area. Donna loved to bake, play bingo, go to yard sales and spend time with friends. Donna’s greatest passion was taking care of the loves of her life, her grandchildren. Besides being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Donna was employed by Excel, Pleasant View Nursing Home, Northview Manor and Pizza Hut. Donna helped at the Tarkio Nutrition Center and with Allen-Schiffern American Legion Post #199, Tarkio. She passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Community Hospital – Fairfax, in Fairfax, Missouri at the age of 62 years.

Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Rex Bradbury and infant sister, Yvonne Jones. Survivors include her husband, Leland W. Smith, Jr.; sons, William Smith and wife, Kimberly and Robert Wayne Smith and wife, Amy; daughter, Lisa Gish and husband, Danny, all of Tarkio, Missouri; grandchildren, Gregory, Timothy, Nathan, Abbie, Brianna and Kalynn Smith, Michael, Samantha and Sabrina Wright, Daniel and Raelynn Gish, Darain Horr, and Alissa and Arthur Reeves; brother, Edward Bradbury, Casper, Wyoming and sister, Sue Jones Riffle, Troy, Missouri.

Private Family Memorial Services and Inurnment will be held at a later date.
