1936-2012
Rock Port, Missouri

 

Doris Joyce (Clement) Lefforge, the daughter of Charles M. and Doris Alberta (Johnston) Clement, was born June 21, 1936 in Westboro, Missouri. Joyce attended school in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Braddyville, Iowa before graduating from Westboro High School in 1955.

 

Joyce began her professional career employed by Ozark Airlines in Rockford, Illinois. She later worked as a Secretary for the Newark, Illinois school system, in Administration for the Insurance industry in Ottawa, Illinois, and for the Conoco Oil Company, Ponca City, Oklahoma until retiring in 2002. Joyce soon returned to Westboro, living there until January 2009 when ill health forced her move to Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, Missouri. Joyce passed away on February 23, 2012, at the Pleasant View Nursing Home at the age of 75.

 

Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a twin brother, Joe Clement and brother-in-law, Robert Fox. Survivors include two sisters, Patricia (Clement) Fox, St. Joseph, Missouri and Nancy L. (Clement) Martin and husband, Donald, Westboro; two nephews, Richard Fox and wife, Shelly, St. Joseph and Chuck Fox and wife, Penni, Maryville, Missouri; niece, Debra Jo (Martin) Smith and husband, Bob, Fort Worth, Texas and sister-in-law, Carol Clement, North Bend, Nebraska.

 

Graveside Memorial Service and Inurnment: 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 28, 2012, Center Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
There is no visitation.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
