Doris Katherine Pirret passed away on January 4, 2022 at LaVerna Village Care Center in Savannah, Missouri. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Alan) Bradfield of St. Joseph, Missouri.

 

Doris was born on a farm near Northboro, Iowa on December 13, 1928. Soon after, the family moved to the family farm near Westboro, Missouri.

 

Doris spent her working career in banking in Tarkio and Kansas City Missouri, Detroit, Michigan and San Francisco, California before retiring to Sun City West, Arizona. The past three years were spent in St. Joseph, Missouri due to declining health.

 

Doris had a life-long love of singing. After moving to Sun City West, she became a member of the Theater West, various musical clubs and a Karaoke Club. She performed in many shows through her club associations and 18 different variety shows during her time in Sun City West.

 

Doris was a member of the Shepard of the Hills United Methodist Church and a member of the choir in Sun City West for many years. Since moving to St. Joseph, she attended the Ashland United Methodist Church.

 

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Jennie and Ray Marquart and step-mother, Zelice Marquart; sister, Mary Creighton; three brothers, Raymond, Paul and Gerald Marquart and husband, Peter Pirret.

 

Additional survivors include her granddaughter, Dawn Bradfield of Fairfax, Missouri, grandson, Eric (Melissa) Bradfield; great grandsons, Cole and Luke of Junction City, Kansas, two great granddaughters, Amber (James) Zumbrunnen and Baylee (Tristan) Ray, both of Fairfax. She was also blessed with two great-great grandchildren, Jackson and Audrey Zumbrunnen; nieces, Cindy Deveaux, Kansas City, Missouri, Patty (Eric) Ikenberry, Sioux City, South Dakota and Paula (Jake) Sorg of Osprey, Florida.

 

 Memorial Service 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2022, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
