Dorothy Roberta (Brusha) Olsen, the daughter of Jess and Anna (Poppa) Brusha, was born March 3, 1924 in Langdon, Missouri. She attended Rock Port Schools, graduating in 1942. Following graduation, Roberta was employed by Dr. Settles in Rock Port.

On February 19, 1946, Roberta was united in marriage to Lester Olsen at the Lutheran Church Parsonage in Rock Port by Reverend McConnell.

Roberta was a stay at home mother and homemaker living in northwest Missouri and southwest Iowa communities all of her life. She was a member of the Coin United Methodist Church for many years. Lester passed away November 7, 1986. Roberta passed away September 30, 2008 at Life Care Center in Waynesville, Missouri at the age of 84 years.

Besides her parents and husband, Roberta was preceded in death by two sisters; Anna Ohrt and Frieda Green; sisters-in-law Marie Underwood, Dorothy Brought, Irene Olson, Patty Olson, Rosie Olson, Evelyn Brusha; brothers-in-law Robert Olson, Raymond Olson, Gilbert Olson , Harlen Olson, Irvin Brought, and John Ohrt.

Roberta is survived by her two daughters, Dorothy Arlene Moody and her husband, Dean, Herman, Nebraska and Annette E. Hess and her husband Gary, Richland, Missouri; four grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Marvin Brusha, Rock Port; two sisters-in-law, Marie Olson, Papillion, Nebraska; Maybell Olson, Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother-in-law, Leo Olson, Rock Port and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:00 am, Saturday, October 4, 2008, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
Interment: Linden Cemetery, Rock Port.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:00 am, prior to the service at Minter Funeral Chapel.
