Dorothy Sue McClasky, 68, of St. Joseph, formerly of Tarkio, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at her home in St. Joseph.

She was born on August 9, 1941, in Houston, Missouri. Dorothy grew up in Tarkio, but lived most of her life in St. Joseph. On September 16, 1956, she married Manuel McClasky, who preceded her in death on February 16, 1978. Also preceding her in death are her parents, Arthur and Sally (Morton) Wallace, a brother, Raymond Wallace.

For 20 years, Dorothy worked for the Kansas City Star. She was a Christian and had the most generous heart of anyone. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much, and would do anything for anyone in need.

Survivors include her son, Herbie McClasky, Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Sue Jeffers, St. Joseph; sister, Hazel Wallace, St. Joseph; brothers, Delmar Wallace, Tarkio, Roy Wallace, Brookside, Florida, Jack Wallace, Branson, Missouri, Tom Wallace, St. Joseph, and Don Wallace, Fairfax, Missouri; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Monday, August 2, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
Visitation: Monday, August 2, 2010, 10:00-10:45 a.m., Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
